Summer Internship Program
We offer a 12-14 week college internship program, starting at the end of May running through mid to late August. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30-12:30. The program is a total of 240-280 hours. This is an unpaid program where students are supported through paid programming and grants through their institutions. Support for securing funding is available.
We are an inclusive community and offer one morning a week of programming for folks with intellectual disabilities and autism, in an accessible, nature-based environment. Together we create a resilient space of fulfillment and belonging.
Participants are members of a 6-8 member crew and tend to all aspects of a cut flower farm. They can expect to work in the field on bed prep, planting, weeding, mulching, harvesting, and bouquet making. They will also engage in workshops, nature craft projects like basketmaking, print making, community art and music. Participants will have the opportunity to pursue independent projects such as social media management, film making, science based data collection, grant writing, lesson planning or whatever may fit into a student's academic focus. Participants should be prepared to work outside and provide thier own housing.
